Working Groups

Working Groups are an exchange and knowledge sharing platforms for IIA Luxembourg members working on specific sectors of activity. Meetings are held on a regular basis with the aim to discuss commun interest topics.

Group dedicated to the banking industry giving members a real opportunity to discuss hot topics and best practices. Its main objective is to share knowledge and experience on specific internal audit topics (regulatory, operational, governance but also methodology). It brings together main representatives of the Luxembourgish market.

Discussion platform for members working with Luxembourg custody and asset servicing banks, investment management firms, management companies and Professionals of the Financial Sector (PSFs).

Group gathering internal auditors from the Luxembourg insurance sector, aimed at sharing best practices, experience, and methodologies on Insurance related operational and regulatory topics.

German Speaking

Group for the german speaking community of auditors in Luxembourg across all industries (financial and non-financial), aiming to discuss hot topics, trends and emerging risks (technological, regulatory, operational, governance). Each session starts with a presentation given by confirmed experts, followed by an interactive session of knowledge sharing of the members

Banking working group

Dear member,
The next IIA Banking working group will take place on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 12:00 to 14:00 in the premises of PwC Luxembourg (practical details will follow).

Our discussion topic will be on AML (CRBA Law, Evolution of the Terrorism Financing risk, Outsourcing of AML task, and the EU AML Package).

For this meeting, we will benefit from the presence of PwC Subject Matter Experts including the AML Banking Partner Cecile Moser to support our exchanges.

In order to best prepare this working group, please provide us with your specific questions and elements you would like to be covered to by April 10, 2024.


People who would like to participate are also invited to confirm their attendance to the Institute of Internal Auditors ( before April 10, 2024 (COB).


In order to allow a maximum of entities to attend to the working group and to foster interactive discussions, the number of attendees will be limited to maximum 2 attendees per entity. Considering the total number of places is limited to 24, please note that the registrations will be handled by applying the “first come, first serve” principle. A confirmation will be sent to the attendees.
