Dr. Andreas Braun is a Director of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science in Technology Advisory with a focus on AI and Machine Learning application and strategy development. He has 15 years of experience in AI, Machine Learning and managing R&I projects with a broad cross-sectoral experience from public applications, research, biometrics, and strategy development.

Andreas holds a Doctorate of Engineering in Computer Science, has written and contributed to more than 100 scientific publications and patents, and is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional) and MSP (Managing Successful Programmes).

He was vice-spokesperson of the Fraunhofer Alliance for Ambient Assisted Living and Personal Health, a strategic collaboration of 11 research institutes in Personal Health & Active & Assisted Living, as well as representative of the institution in the AAL Joint Programme, EIT Health and EIT Digital. He is a member of the European AI Alliance, and Luxembourg ambassador of the European Association for Biometrics.

He was a Principal Investigator at the Center for Research in Security and Privacy (ATHENE) in Darmstadt, a world-leading institute for applied security research, where he contributed to the working groups on industry transfer & international collaboration, as well as teaching & professional education, including contributions to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC37 on biometric standardisation.
